EA: Anubhuti Class

1A: First AC

Fare Enquiry

To check the fare of your desired train you have to follow the below steps:

  3. Select the “Fare Enquiry” tab.
  4. Enter your desired train number.
  5. Select Journey Date.
  6. Enter source station from where you are going to start your journey.

Seat Availability & Seat Booking

National Train Enquiry System provides the facilities of checking seat availability and seat booking. As a result of this service, sufferings of standing in a line of a train station is no more. We can book and check seat availability through our smartphone or desktop nowadays.

Types of Indian Railway tickets

Indian Railway normally supplies two types of tickets. They are:

E-Tickets: Electronic ticket is booked only through the IRCTC website. One can book the ticket and can carry it by printing.

i-Tickets: These are the tickets that are booked at the railway reservation counter.

PNR Enquiry

The word PNR indicates the meaning “passenger Name Record“. PNR is the database of the Indian Railways computer reservation system. When a ticket is booked the database will save all the information of an individual to make the Indian railway server more balanced and centralized.

These details are associated with a ten-digit number. The reference number is called PNR and printed on the ticket. Useful NTES Abbreviations

National train Enquiry System uses some abbreviations to publish their information and updates. Thus I have noted some of their most-used abbreviations below:

ETA: The word ETA stands for the expected time of arrival. EtA may change during the course of its run.

ATA: Actual time of arrival. It is an accurate time when the train arrives. Once a train arrives the ETA becomes ATA.

ETD: The word ETD means an estimated time of departure. Usually, ETD changes with the change of ETA nor it remains unchanged.

ATD: Actual time of departure. This means the actual time of departure. In addition,Once a train departs then the ETD becomes ATD.

RT: Right Time.

EXP: Express

FC: First class.

JN: Junction.

UA: Update awaited.

CNC: canceled at this station.

PS: Passenger Service.

SCRA: Special class railway apprentice.
